GUARDIANS OF THE EARTH WORKSHOP 9.4.2025

Bear, wolfs, foxes, kestrels, owls, sparrow, deer, roosters, cows, horses, dogs, cats, mouse, dragons and unicorns. What inspires me and what leads me? What kind of rhythms, movements and energies feel like home and call me towards myself? Which creature awakes respect in me, who do I honour and admire since I can remember?

My friend always says, I’m not a cat person, I’m an animal person and I deeply agree with that. Honoring and respecting animals, is respecting yourself, honoring the land, honoring the people’s experience and honoring existence.

We will get aquainted with the basics of modelling smaller sculptures out of fortified wild clay. You can choose a desired size (just not 1:1) and materials and geologies of different colors. Pieces will be woodfired if wanted.

We will have three or four different local wild clays available, also local sands and minerals from the lands of the world, all the tools, warm tea and compassionate guidance in creating. We start with a short ritual to connect to ourselves and our Guardians, then we sketch in clay or paper, and continue with the flow of creative process.

Location: 6.6.2024 in Besnica near Kranju, in a warm studio from 17:00 until 20:00 (approx. 2.5 hours)

Investment: 60€ (Your fired piece is already included in the price, I can send it via post office or you can pick it up in person)

DELAVNICA CEREMONIALNIH KROŽNIKOV 23.4.2025

Ti manjka doma set krožnikov za posebne namene? Si že več časa želiš postavit mini oltarček, ali pa samo nimaš podstavka za svoj najlubši čajnik, skodelico? Bi rada imela posodo v kateri lahko skuriš sporočilca sebi ali svetu in pisma, ki ti ne služijo več? Lahko pa si samo želiš imet en lep komplet skled iz katerih bi lahko uživala svoje zajtrke?

Pridi si jih izdelat sam/a/X. Na voljo bo divja glina, ojačana, da se lahko odžge na 1240 in bo poglazirana uporabna za varno uporabo – in več različnih vrst granulacij. Ustvarjali bomo s pomočjo gozdnih rastlin, katere bomo odtiskovali na krožnike, Pripravljene pa bodo tudi štampiljke listov breze, hrasta, lipe, borovnice, bora, bukve.

Začeli bomo s kratkim ritualom in nadaljevali s čuječim, nežno vodenim ustvarjanjem. Izdelke bomo izdelovali s tehnikami valjanja ali dela z že pripravljenimi ploščami. Za delavnico ni potrebno imeti predznanja, namenjena je ustvarjalcem vseh vej umetnosti in komurkoli drugem.

Lokacija: Ustvarjali bomo v toplem studiu v Besnici pri Kranju, 23.4. od 17:00 do 20:00. Na voljo bo tudi čaj.

Investicija za delavnico: 60€ na osebo

Končani izdelki bodo dvakrat žgani, biskvitno in glazurno, na 124o stopinj, kasneje pa jih lahko prevzameš osebno ali po pošti (cena poštnine je vključena v ceno delavnice).

WILD CLAY AND HOW TO WORK WITH HER, Drops Festival, August 2024

We will work with 5 wild clays from different locations in Slovenia. First we will clean the clay, soak it, sieve it, put the stones and minerals into glass jars and recycle the clay into workable form on plaster molds. During the wait we will make sculptures or tiny cups, to give back to the land, and after we prepare all the materials, each can make an object they desire (bowl, cup, sculpture). Energy exchange for workshop will work by donations. After a few weeks I can also send you/you can pick up your pieces personally.
